How we handle your information

A placeholder policy describing the information the platform collects, why it is collected and how it is protected.

This document is a placeholder prepared for review and completion by qualified Canadian and international legal counsel acting for MIG Minerals & Metals Capital. It is not yet a final legal instrument and must be finalised, jurisdiction by jurisdiction, before the platform is relied upon commercially.

Information we collect

Identity information provided during registration and verification, including full legal name, date of birth, nationality, country of residence, telephone number, government identification and proof of address.

Corporate information including legal entity name, registration number, incorporation country, registered address, directors, authorized representatives, ultimate beneficial owners, tax identification, source of funds and expected transaction volume.

Documents uploaded in support of an opportunity, project, financing request or compliance review, and records of platform activity including document access.

Why we collect it

To verify identity and entity status, to conduct anti-money-laundering, sanctions and politically exposed person screening, to assess source of funds and source of minerals, and to meet applicable legal and regulatory obligations.

To operate the platform, including opportunity review, counterparty matching, deal-room access control, technical review and transaction administration.

How it is protected

Documents are held in private storage and are never publicly accessible. Access is controlled by role and by explicit deal-room permission, links to sensitive documents are time-limited, and document access is logged.

Administrative and transaction actions are recorded in an audit trail.

Sharing

Information is shared only with authorized participants in a specific transaction, with independent advisers and reviewers engaged for that transaction, and where required by law.

Confidential supplier names, mine coordinates, licence numbers, pricing terms, geological reports, assay reports and contact details are never published publicly.

The applicable data-protection rights, retention periods, lawful bases, international-transfer mechanisms and supervisory authority will be specified by legal counsel for each jurisdiction in which the platform operates.
