Participant verification
Every participant is subject to identity verification, entity verification, beneficial-ownership review, politically exposed person and sanctions screening, and source-of-funds assessment.
Anonymous suppliers, anonymous intermediaries and cash transactions are not accepted.
Mineral and origin review
Source of minerals, mining and trading licences, export and import permits, tax and royalty compliance and chain-of-custody documentation are reviewed before any approval decision.
Document expiry is monitored, and lapsed authorisations suspend the associated listing.
Enhanced due diligence
Enhanced due diligence is applied to gold, tin, tantalum, tungsten, cobalt and diamonds, and to any material originating in conflict-affected or high-risk areas.
Diamond submissions are subject to a dedicated Kimberley Process review.
Restricted and radioactive minerals require enhanced legal approval before any transaction activity and are never publicly listed.
Risk assessment
Conflict-financing, human-rights, child-labour, forced-labour, environmental, community, artisanal-mining, bribery, corruption and smuggling risks are assessed and recorded.
Each assessment results in a rating of low risk, medium risk, high risk, additional review required or prohibited, with internal escalation and approval history retained.
Use of compliance language
No opportunity, participant or project is described as verified, compliant, conflict-free, responsibly sourced or investment-ready until the relevant review has been completed and formally approved.
Listings remain subject to verification and ongoing review. Verification does not eliminate operational, geological, political, environmental, jurisdictional or counterparty risks.
Opportunities may be restricted according to jurisdiction and participant eligibility. MIG may request additional information, restrict access, suspend accounts or reject opportunities.
MIG does not accept anonymous suppliers, anonymous intermediaries or cash transactions.
